Resumo: This work aims to show the construction of the script for the short film Ancestral, a narrative that seeks to show the reconnection of the character Dandara with his ancestry, based on his experience with Quibungo. It is from the encounter with this mysterious being that Dandara realizes that the link with her roots is still small and there is a lot to be understood. From the contextualization of the horror genre, and through the understanding of Afro-Brazilian ancestry, I bring a reflection on the challenges that prejudices faced by Afro-descendants in this society, which despite having progressed a lot, still has to fight against structural racism.

É a partir do encontro com esse ser misterioso que Dandara percebe que o vínculo com suas raízes ainda pequeno e existe muita coisa a ser entendida.
