Resumo: The paper analyzes how the alagono documentaries, resulted of audiovisual training workshops, portray the ordinary man. These films do not emphasize the event itself, they turn to the characters life’s history, the family relations, works with diferentes times of the moment, with the construction of the narrative, the mise en scène, of the elements that register for another time that is not instantaneous. The research is divided into four parts. The first consists to analyze the term “whatever” in Agamben permeated by other concepts such as biopolitics, the state of exception and the society of the spectacle that transforms bodies of the ordinary man into “anyone”. The second part it is related to the Brazilian documentary, how the ordinary man, his “bare life” (zoe) and politics (bio) was told according to historical moments. The third part discusses the contextualization of the cinema in Alagoas and the relevance of the cycle of training workshops in the state, portraying how the films are presented as responses to the development of the alagoano audiovisual, as a political and social fator that fights a biopolitical language. The last part consists of an empirical incursion into the set of documentaries filmed in the audiovisual training workshops in Alagoas, in order to analyze them through the methodology of the Cinema Comparado (SOUTO,2017), the general image of the ordinary man into four documentaries: Anda, Zé Pequeno, anda (2009), O velho e a lagoa (2009), Nome, idade, profissão e onde mora (2009) e Marinete (2011). These films present a certain similarity with the contemporary Brazilian documentary that pursues to treat the characters in their singularities. There is a picture of the ordinary man’s life and the community to which he belongs without the concern to contextualize them in a determined social group of identity, as the speakers of their communities, making invisible singularities visible in the spectacular media world.

There is a picture of the ordinary man’s life and the community to which he belongs without the concern to contextualize them in a determined social group of identity, as the speakers of their communities, making invisible singularities visible in the spectacular media world.O trabalho analisa como os documentários alagoanos, emergidos de oficinas de formação audiovisual, retratam a figura do sujeito comum, esses filmes não enfatizam o acontecimento em si, eles voltam-se para história de vida dos personagens, as relações familiares, trabalha com tempos diferentes do momento, com a construção da narrativa, do mise en scène, dos elementos que registrem para um outro tempo que não seja instantâneo.
