Contribuições de usuários do sistema único de saúde na validação do formulário terapêutico nacional – versão usuário

Introduction: The elaboration of national therapeutic forms with scientific orientations for the user is one of the central strategies to promote the rational use of medicines. This important innovation is in line with the reinforcement emphasized by the Unified Health System regarding the emancipation of citizens for self-care in health. Objective: Describe the contributions of SUS users in the validation process of the National Therapeutic Form - user version. Method: This is a cross-sectional descriptive study, in which a self-administered questionnaire containing sociodemographic questions and another related to the drug monograph was used. Data collection took place between December 2017 and March 2018, in the Basic Health Units of three municipalities of Sergipe: Lagarto, Itabaiana and Simão Dias. Participating in the study were adult users older than 18 years of both genders who agreed to participate in the study by signing the Term of Free and Informed Commitment. Data analysis was performed by descriptive statistics. Results: A total of 157 users participated in the study, of which 59% were female, the predominant age group was 33% for those over 61 years old, 49% were called pardos, and 37% said they had completed high school. Were analyzed 261 opinions distributed in 13 questions of 87 monographs of the medicines. Were observed 96% of affirmative answers for the questions proposed in the questionnaire when confirming about the clarity of the information provided, of these, 61% transcribed with their words as they understood the presented questions. Regarding the negative answers, it was about 4% that marked the lack of understanding of the questions, regarding the implications/modifications to be suggested. Were identified 75 suggestions of addition, 43 of alteration and 2 of withdrawal of some unknown term/word. Conclusion: The study evidenced a high understanding of the educational/informative material when confirming readability with the presented questions and the quality of the material applied in the process of validation to the user. Participating users collaborated significantly in improving the material by expressing their contributions in the standardization, adequacy and leveling of technical terms.
