Perfil dos acidentes de trabalho: um estudo descritivo em uma unidade fabril de pequeno porte de tubos de concreto

Resumo: Accidents at work in Brazil are very worrying, due to the number of daily deaths of workers in their work. Safety at work plays a key role in reducing the risk of accidents at work and neutralizing environmental agents. The objective of this qualitative research is to describe the work accident profile of a small concrete pipe factory and to perform a comparative analysis with the accident profile of other companies treated in the literature. The research used as reference the company database, the variables investigated were age, activity, number of accidents suffered, description of accidents and socio demographic data of workers. The study was carried out through information from the company's active employees, and the results indicated that work accidents occurred with a higher incidence among male workers and affected the upper limbs more, due to the branch of activity of the company. Given this information we conclude that the company should invest more in accident prevention, caring about the physical integrity of workers. But for more detailed research, it is important to conduct a deeper analysis, assisting in the causes and effects of workers' accidents.

A segurança do trabalho tem um papel primordial para a diminuição dos riscos de acidentes de trabalho e neutralização dos agentes ambientais. O objetivo desta pesquisa qualiquantitativa é descrever o perfil dos acidentes de trabalho de uma fábrica de pequeno porte de tubos de concreto e efetuar uma análise comparativa com o perfil dos acidentes de outras empresas tratados na literatura. A pesquisa utilizou como referência a base de dados da empresa, as variáveis investigadas foram idade, atividade, número de acidentes sofridos, descrição dos acidentes e dados sócio demográficos dos trabalhadores. O estudo foi realizado através de informações dos funcionários ativos da empresa, sendo que os resultados indicaram que os acidentes de trabalho ocorreram com maior incidência nos trabalhadores do sexo masculino e acometeram mais os membros superiores, devido ao ramo de atividade da empresa. Diante destas informações concluímos que a empresa deve investir mais na prevenção de acidentes, se preocupando com a integridade física dos trabalhadores.
