Resumo: Arterial Hypertension is a chronic condition that can cause functional impairment and the quality of life of the individuals affected. Therefore, it is important to enable the Quality of life Related to Health (HRQoL) evaluation through instruments such as Nottingham Health Profile (NHP). Objective: To analyze the correlation and concordance between the general score and between the common domains of NHP and SF-36 instruments in hypertensive individuals. Methods: This is a cross-sectional survey with a quantitative approach, carried out with 50 individuals between August 2016 and March 2017. NHP has 6 domains and SF36 has 9 domains. Descriptive statistical analysis was used, in addition to the analysis of the Spearman and Pearson correlation coefficient with significance of p <0.05 and concordance analysis using the Bland-Altmann diagram. Results: Spearman's correlation was positive and strong in the common CF / HF (0.77) and D / D (0.71) domains, both with p <0.0001 and weak in the AS / IS domains (0.11 ) with p = 0.434. The concordance was strong in the D / D domains (bias: -1.49000) and in the CF / HF domains (bias: 3.50000) and was weak in the AS / IS domains (-8.15000). Both concordance and correlation had a strong magnitude in the overall score of the instruments. Conclusion: NHP can replace SF36 for the general mean and physical skills and pain domains, but caution is needed in the evaluation of NHP social interaction domain that did not correlate and also did not have good agreement with the social aspect of SF36.
