Resumo: | OBJECTIVE: Analyze the correlation and agreement between the general score and between the common domains of Nothingham Health Profile (NHP) and Short form – 36 (SF-36) instruments in hypertensive individuals.METHODS: This is a cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach. The study included patients with a diagnosis of systemic arterial hypertension (SAH) aged between 18 to 80 years. The SF-36 and PSN questionnaires were randomly applied. Statistical analysis was done using the Spearman and Pearson correlation coefficient with significance of p <0.05 and the concordance analysis using the Bland-Altmann diagram.RESULTS: 50 patients were evaluated. The general score of the instruments presented strong correlation 0.79 (CI=0.65; 0.87) and concordance (bias=0.38). Both correlation and agreement had a strong magnitude in the common domains of Functional Ability/Physical Abilities [0.77 (CI=0.62; 0.86)/bias=3.50] and Pain/Pain [0.71 (CI=0.54; 0.83)/bias=-1.49], moderate in the domains vitality/energy levels [0.52 (CI=0.28; 0.70)/bias=4.60] and mental health/emotional reactions [0.59 (CI=0.36; 0.75)/bias=-8.05] and weak magnitude in the domains Social/Social Interaction [0.11 (CI=-0.17; 0.38)/bias=-8.15000].CONCLUSIONS: NHP can replace the SF-36 in the general score, but attention is needed in the assessment of the NHP social interaction domain that did not correlate and did not have a good agreement with the social aspect of the SF-36. |
