Resumo: The Central-North and Northeast regions of the State of Sergipe have recorded low magnitude earthquakes in recent years, despite their older and, consequently, more stable geotectonic context. In order to know and understand the neotectonic context of Sergipe, it was sought to characterize the predominant structural conditions, initially in the municipality of Divina Pastora, central region of the State. The municipality consists of the Quaternary and Neogene lithostratigraphic units, rocks of the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin, conglomerates and thick sandstones of the Angico Member, limestone rocks of the Maruim Member, and shale intercalations of the Taquari Member, both belonging to the Riachuelo Formation, as well as a small portion in the northwest of the municipality of limestones and dolomites of the Olhos d'Água Formation. The main unit and focus of the work is the Barreiras Group (Superficial Sequences), composed of extremely friable conglomerates and sandstones that cover a considerable area of the studied area. This work presents the structural data collected in this region, which were obtained in satellite and field images. The structural lineaments acquired from Manual and Automatic Extraction reflect a predominance in NW-SE and NE-SW directions, depending on the fracture and fault structures observed in outcropping in the Barreiras Group, as well as in the Riachuelo Formation. The hypothesis raised is that the current neotectonic context reflects the reactivation of older structural lineaments related to the structuring of the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin. Based on this information, this work reinforces the continuity of studies that correlate Neotectonics and its implication with Geological Hazards, in order to better prepare preventive measures to the impacts caused by the consequent events, by the responsible organizations.

Visando conhecer e compreender o contexto neotectônico sergipano, buscou-se caracterizar as condições estruturais predominantes, inicialmente no município de Divina Pastora, região central do Estado. O município é constituído pelas unidades litoestratigráficas do Quaternário e Neógeno, rochas da Bacia Sergipe-Alagoas, conglomerados e arenitos grossos do Membro Angico, rochas calcárias do Membro Maruim e intercalações de folhelho do Membro Taquari, ambos pertencentes a Formação Riachuelo, além de uma pequena porção no noroeste do município de calcários e dolomitos da Formação Olhos d’Água. A unidade principal e foco do trabalho é o Grupo Barreiras (Sequências Superficiais), constituído por conglomerados e arenitos extremamente friáveis e que recobrem uma faixa considerável da área estudada. Este trabalho apresenta os dados estruturais coletados nesta região, os quais foram obtidos em imagens de satélites e em campo. Os lineamentos estruturais adquiridos a partir de Extração Manual e Automática refletem uma predominância nas direções NW-SE e NE-SW, consoante as estruturas de fraturas e falhas observadas em afloramento no Grupo Barreiras, bem como na Formação Riachuelo. A hipótese levantada é de que o contexto neotectônico atual reflete a reativação de lineamentos estruturais mais antigos relacionados a estruturação da Bacia Sergipe-Alagoas.
