This study aims to analyze the logistics system of medicines’ distribution of Amapá State, in order to identify possible obstacles that may cause the breakdown of supply of the product. In collecting data interviews were conducted on central drugs distribution located in the city of Macapá / AP and in hospitals in Macapá and Santana-AP supplied by the central. Are pointed out as main results, problems related to the method of forecasting demand and dispensing drugs are inadequate, hampering the maintenance of stocks in distribution center and pharmacies of hospitals. And, as an aggravating factor, the number of employees is insufficient and most units do not have computerized system. Therefore, it is concluded that the adoption of the method forecast by seasonality and individual dispensing drugs, combined with the correct application of information technology tools, will provide a reduction in the breakdown of supply of drugs to hospitals, as well as a reduction in costs related logistics processes.
