Análise das habilidades comunicativas após intervenção fonoaudiológica em criança com atraso de linguagem no período da pandemia da Covid-19: estudo de caso

The objective of the study was to analyze the communicative skills that were impaired in a 4-year-old male child during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The participant was chosen through observation of the clinical condition and report of the mother, in which he had good understanding, but did not speak intelligibly, difficulty in oral expression, storytelling, disconnected syntax, omissions and phonological deviations. The consultations took place at the Language Outpatient Clinic of a School clinic in the interior of the State of Sergipe. For the analysis and interpretation of the data, tables and accounting statements were used to compare the communicative skills and language aspects that were impaired during the pandemic period and their respective results after speech therapy intervention. The participant showed significant improvements in social interaction and social skills, obtaining adequacy of the phonetic-phonological inventory, increase in vocabulary categories and adequacy of oral language after the twenty speech therapy sessions.
