This work aims to analyze the minimum wage through the spending of the population with the cost of the basket and through the application of generalized linear models to estimate the value of the minimum wage required to meet all the needs of Aracaju in addition to studying the impact of the true value the minimum wage in Social Security. The minimum wage is less and less supplying the needs of the population, about 37% of households have earnings above budget and 55% spend the salary before the end of the month. Northeastern households spend on average R$ 1,700.00 monthly real, hence the need to know how committed our salary with expenses like food, housing, health etc. Nationally growing number of people engaged in the informal labor market is for survival - people who do not have a formal employment - or to supplement income as the minimum wage does not meet the needs of the population in question. The value of the minimum wage is proposed as a way to reduce poverty and improve income distribution in Brazil and would benefit both active workers and retirees and pensioners also value the Northeast, where there are about 2,488 people living with even a Salary least the highest rate in the country. This increase is of concern to Social Security since it claims that the amounts collected are not sufficient to pay benefits designed.
