Resumo: Brazilian education has long suffered from the lack of quality education, the expansion of innovative schools is seen as a possible solution to this situation. The objective of this work is to present through the field of experience what are innovative schools. Aiming to understand, closely, the performance of these schools it was visited educational institutions in Sergipe. They have as pedagogical base the Pedagogy of Autonomy of the author Paulo Freire (2016) and Waldorf Pedagogy, created by Rudolf Steiner and written by Rudolf Lanz (1979), works that were also used as theoretical support.
