Controle de qualidade de comprimidos e solução oral de paracetamol distribuídos na rede pública de saúde dos municípios de Lagarto e Aracaju-SE

The medicines distributed in the public network are obtained through bidding processes, the lowest pricetype this is worrying, since the suppliers chosen at the time of the bidding process can offer doubtful quality drugs. Therefore it is important to carry out the quality control, whose purpose is to determine if the product is within the recommended parameters, according to the Pharmacopoeia prescribed level, aiming to assurance the quality of the medicines since its absence can cause serious problems for the patients' health. The objective of the present study was to verify the quality of tablets and oral solution of paracetamol distributed in the public health network of the Municipalities of Lagarto and Aracaju-SE, and to aiming, increase the demand for this asset because it is the treatment of choice in cases of suspicion of dengue, chicungunya and zika. The quality of these drugs was verified by tests registered in the Brazilian Pharmacopoeia 5th edition, being these the determination of the average weight, hardness, friability, disintegration time, dissolution test, assay of active principle and pH level. All the samples were approved for the tests performed, being in accordance with the specifications of the Brazilian Pharmacopoeia. Therefore, this shows that the medicines distributed in the municipalities of Lagarto and Aracaju have satisfactory quality according to the parameters recommended by ANVISA and the good practices of manufacture of the medicines are being fulfilled.
