The quality indicates the positive or negative level of excellence; in the productive sector its presence is relevant, with regard to the service, the final product and the work environment. In the furniture market, as well as others, its presence is necessary. Therefore, the aim of this work is to apply Total Quality tools in the laboratory of machining and production of furniture of the Federal University of Sergipe, in order to know the main problems present in the daily work of the same, as well as possible solutions. For this, the tools, Fishbone Diagram, Brainstorming, Verification Sheet and Pareto Diagram were applied together with the carpentry team. Through the results found it was found that to obtain the effect on time delivery it is necessary to correct causes related to the environment, then through the Verification Sheet the existence of difficulty in the execution of the furniture projects was identified, directing the conclusion of that attention should be focused on the quality of the work environment and the implications present in the execution of projects.
