Environmental dimensions shape up increasingly as an issue that concerns all the actors of the educational world, enhanced by the involvement of the school community as a whole. However, in view current problems involving the environment and its degradation process, the Environmental Education acquired great prominence as a possibility to reduce or mitigate such a process through assumptions and educational activities. In this sense, this research aimed to explain the concepts of environmental education and environment in the view of some teachers of the School José Conrado de Araújo, from 6th to 9th years of elementary school in the city of Aracaju-SE. Given the above, we opted for a qualitative approach through case study, using as a tool: a semi-structured interview. Based on the environmental concepts of respondents perceive it as the field of environmental education is heterogeneous, indicating multiple looks and therefore different pedagogical practices on the environment.
