The advancement of Information and Communication Technologies constantly provides opportunities and challenges in everyday life. In this context, the media's expansion and the possibility of global connectivity also affected diplomatic activity. World leaders and Ministries of Foreign Affairs began to use digital media to communicate more quickly with an even wider audience. In addition, within the scenario of the coronavirus pandemic, the digital world has become an important space for the socialization and expression of the most diverse groups, such as the population, public figures, and government bodies. Thus, along with the evolution of this technology, the use of these communication networks by political figures began to draw the attention of researchers, and, consequently, debates involving the political use of digital media began to gain more space in academic works. Therefore, this project seeks to contribute to recent discussions on Digital Diplomacy and, for this, aims to investigate, through the content analysis method, the position of the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ernesto Araújo, on the Covid-19 pandemic in digital media during his management.
