Based on the guidelines established by the theory of the French Line Discourse, conceived by Michel Pêcheux (1997) and, in Brazil, studied by Eni P. Oralandi, in addition to other researchers in the area, focusing on the categories of Subject, Discursive Formation, Imaginary Formations, Conditions of Production and Memory, this work aims to analyze discursive clippings contained in the autobiography “21st century male: the executive turned housewife. And ended up liking it”, published in 2013, by Claridade publishing house. The development takes place from the problem in which the author inserts himself in a “home man” reality and, in an attempt to get used to the new theme, he describes, in 23 chapters, your journey. In view of the detailed reading from the perspective of DA, it is clear that the author does not amicably assume this new format of life. The study material consists of readings of articles, books by researchers of Discourse Analysis, in the same way as the examination and registration of the book used as corpus. The general objective of this work is to understand how the discursive subject manifests itself through its new way of life - “daddy in home”. It is known that, in the end, there is a diagnosis that assuming considerable roles pre-established in the cultural imaginary of society in its inversion, causes, in a way, indignation, although, as it is a publicized text, the writer seeks to attenuate the latent prejudice from a self-help discourse.
