Resumo: | The purpose of this study is to reflect on the narrator's problem, having as a narrative focus the book A Thousand and One Nights, which is taken as a point of reflection for the analysis, the stories "The history of the first elder and the one of the Corsican" and "The Story of the Second Elder and the Two Black Dogs," in order to demonstrate the multiplicity of voices through the characters depicted in Sherazade's narratives, which gives the text a variety of points of view, allowing it to be characterized as a polyphonic work , it is important to clarify that this term is used here in the Bakhtinian conception to express the discourses contained in the own speeches of each of the characters, from the types of narrators described by Walter Benjamin (1987), that is, the narrator of oral tradition and of the contemporary narrator. |
