Os processos gerenciais desenvolvidos pelos bibliotecários gestores em biblioteca universitária

The need of improvement of their managerial skills in relation to the management of university libraries is being increasingly widely discussed, and has been receiving notoriety in the field of Librarianship, particularly with regard to the management processes of the librarians and library managers who work in the administration of these libraries. In this context, the present research had as purpose to understand how to happen the management processes in the Central Library of the Federal University of Sergipe (BICEN/UFS) and the Central Library of the University Tiradentes (UNIT), aiming specifically to identify the managerial processes developed in the university libraries, to understand the steps of planning and evaluation in university libraries and map out their managerial skills of the manager of university libraries, by means of a questionnaire applied to the managers of the two mentioned libraries. For both, the methodological procedures adopted for the preparation of the research are based on a new approach to the descriptive nature of the qualitative, through consultation of the literature, consulting with world renowned authors that discorram about the issue addressed in this study, as well as with the application of a questionnaire submitted to the managers of the university library of the UFS and of the UNIT. In this manner, it is concluded that the two bodies coordinators of these units competencies develop competencies and managerial skills always in search of growth of your units, developing programs and projects that will promote both the improvement of the services provided to users, such as the growth and conceptualization of their respective libraries. In addition, it was observed that the managers librarians perform a system performance evaluation of the libraries to measure and evaluate if the objectives outlined were achieved, and that its intelligence units can trace its goals and objectives always in harmony with the objectives of the institutions of higher education to which they are a part essential. On the other hand, it was observed that library federal requires more autonomy in relation to the allocation of budget for it to be able to invest better in its unity and in his personal, yet also the coordinating body of this unit should turn more to the observance of the capacity building and training of staff and for the amount of staff that meets the needs of the users.
