Interfaces de uma antropóloga : as práticas de leitura e escrita de Beatriz Góis Dantas (1941-2013)

Resumo: | This work presents an understanding of reading and writing practices developed by Beatriz Góis Dantas, evidencing their insertion in different areas of performance, taking as a time frame the period between 1941 and 2013. The initial frame corresponds to her year of birth, in due to the importance of a contextualization that delimits the contours of the family origin in the search for traces of reading and writing. The final milestone was defined as Beatriz's insertion in the Lagartense Academy of Letters (ALL), considering that her written production was, to a certain extent, although not exclusively, driving the indication to be part of that sodalice. This is a historical research that uses the methodological procedures of documentary research and Oral History, especially life history and thematic history, using semi-structured interviews as instruments. The theoretical contribution that provides subsidies to this study is based mainly on the intellectual tripod of the historian Roger Chartier (1990, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2011, 2014) practices, appropriation and representations, dialoguing with the conceptions of Maurice Halbwachs (1990) about memory and Jean-François Sirinelli (2010) about intellectuals. In addition to the narratives collected through interviews with the intellectual, as well as with people around her or, to some extent, related to research, documentary sources were used, such as minutes of meetings, institutional dossiers, class diaries, publications in newspapers and magazines, photographs, prints produced by the intellectual, photographs, located in the archives of the Historical and Geographic Institute of Sergipe; in the Central and Sectorial Archives of the Federal University of Sergipe; in the collections of the Central Library and the Library of the Laranjeiras Campus of the Federal University of Sergipe, in the Epifânio Dória Library, in addition to the collection of the private library of the studied intellectual. Beatriz Góis Dantas lived, since childhood, in an environment favorable to the development of reading and learning. The reading habits demonstrated by its parent, providing a circulation of printed material, string books and almanacs, favored the discovery of reading as a pleasant and useful practice. The attachment to books and the taste for reading led to the constitution of a library that was being assembled with books and printed matter in general, obtained by shopping in bookstores, in local bookstores and booksellers and other regions of the country, through friends, through catalogs, showing different ways of acquiring books in Brazil. Felte Bezerra and Josefina Leite were the names that most stood out as having an important contribution to Beatriz's intellectual training. Despite the absence of a teacher / student relationship, Felte Bezerra left an erudite legacy that was marked, above all, by the relationship with Anthropology and written work. Josefina Leite is remembered as responsible for entering the research, for the example of respect for differences and openness to dialogue. Beatriz Góis Dantas' academic production is composed of books written in partnership and individually, book chapters, articles published in newspapers and magazines, within an interdisciplinary thematic repertoire, having as her field of study, her homeland, Sergipe. The book Nago grandma and white papa: uses and abuses of Africa in Brazil, published in 1988, as a result of her master's dissertation, was responsible for the most accentuated critical fortune among the titles of the anthropologist's work. In addition to this thematic diversity, the memorialist potential of the intellectual was evidenced in the production of ordinary writings, without pretending to be scientific, fixing the family memory, characterizing an autobiographical writing. |

El marco inicial corresponde a su año de nacimiento, en debido a la importancia de una contextualización que delimite los contornos del origen familiar en la búsqueda de rastros de lectura y escritura. El hito final se definió con la inserción de Beatriz en la Academia Lagartense de Letras (ALL) como un parámetro, considerando que su producción escrita fue, en cierta medida, aunque no exclusivamente, impulsando la indicación de ser parte de ese sodalício. Esta es una investigación histórica que utiliza los procedimientos metodológicos de la investigación documental y la historia oral, especialmente la historia de la vida y la historia temática, utilizando entrevistas semiestructuradas como instrumentos. El apoyo teórico que proporciona subsidios a este estudio se basa principalmente en el trípode intelectual del historiador Roger Chartier (1990, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2011, 2014) prácticas, apropiación y representaciones, diálogo con las concepciones de Maurice Halbwachs (1990) sobre memoria y Jean-François Sirinelli (2010) sobre intelectuales. Además de las narraciones recopiladas a través de entrevistas con el intelectual, así como con personas a su alrededor o, en cierta medida, relacionadas con la investigación, se utilizaron fuentes documentales, como actas de reuniones, expedientes institucionales, diarios de clase, publicaciones en periódicos y revistas, fotografías, grabados producidos por el intelectual, fotografías, ubicadas en los archivos del Instituto Histórico y Geográfico de Sergipe; en el Archivo Central y Sectorial de la Universidad Federal de Sergipe; en las colecciones de la Biblioteca Central y la Biblioteca del Campus Laranjeiras de la Universidad Federal de Sergipe, en la Biblioteca Epifânio Dória, además de la colección de la biblioteca privada del intelectual estudiado. Beatriz Góis Dantas vivió, desde la infancia, en un entorno favorable al desarrollo de la lectura y el aprendizaje. Los hábitos de lectura demostrados por su padre, al proporcionar una circulación de material impreso, libros de cuerdas y almanaques, favorecieron el descubrimiento de la lectura como una práctica agradable y útil. El apego a los libros y el gusto por la lectura condujeron a la constitución de una biblioteca que se estaba ensamblando con libros y material impreso en general, obtenida comprando en librerías, en librerías locales y librerías y otras regiones del país, a través de amigos, a través de amigos. catálogos, demostrando diferentes formas de adquirir libros en Brasil. Felte Bezerra y Josefina Leite fueron los nombres que más destacaron por tener una contribución importante a la formación intelectual de Beatriz. El libro Vovó nagô y papai branco: usos y abusos de África en Brasil, publicado en 1988, como resultado de su disertación de maestría, fue responsable de la fortuna crítica más acentuada entre los títulos del trabajo del antropólogo. Además de esta diversidad temática, el potencial memorialista del intelectual se evidenció en la producción de escritos ordinarios, sin pretender ser científico, arreglando la memoria familiar, caracterizando una escritura autobiográfica.Ce travail présente une compréhension des pratiques de lecture et d'écriture développées par Beatriz Góis Dantas, en soulignant son insertion dans différents domaines d’actuation. Le cadre temporel de cette recherche comprend les années de 1941 à 2013. Le cadre temporel initaile corresponds à son année de naissance, en fonction de l'importance de la contextualisation qui délimite les contours familiers à la recherche des traces de lecture et écriture; le cadre temporel finale correspond à son entrée à l’ Academia Lagartense de Letras (ALL), en considerant que sa production écrite a été, dans une certaine mesure, mais pas exclusivement, le motif de son indication à cette Académie. Il s'agit d'une recherche historique qui utilise les procédures méthodologiques de la recherche documentaire et de l'histoire orale, en particulier l'histoire de vie et l'histoire thématique, en utilisant des entretiens semi-directif comme instruments. La contribution théorique qui subventionne cette étude repose principalement sur le trépied intellectuel de l'historien Roger Chartier (1990, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2011, 2014) Pratiques, Appropriation et Représentations, en dialoguant avec les conceptions de Maurice Halbwachs (1990) sur la mémoire et de Jean-François Sirinelli (2010) sur les intellectuels. En plus des récits recueillis à partir des entretiens avec l'intellectuelle, ainsi qu'avec des personnes autour d'elle ou, dans une certaine mesure, liés à la recherche. On a utilisé des sources documentaires telles que des comptes rendus de réunions, des dossiers institutionnels, des bulletin scolaire, des publications dans des journaux et magazines, photographies, des textes produits par l'intellectuel, photographies, situés dans les archives de l'Institut historique et géographique de Sergipe; dans les Archives centrales et sectorielles de l'Université fédérale de Sergipe; dans les collections de la Bibliothèque centrale et de la Bibliothèque du Campus Laranjeiras de l'Université fédérale de Sergipe, dans la Bibliothèque Epifânio Dória, en plus de la collection de la bibliothèque privée de l'intellectuel étudiée. Beatriz Góis Dantas a vécu, depuis son enfance, dans un environnement propice au développement de la lecture et de l'apprentissage. Les habitudes de lecture démontrées par son parent et la circulation de livres comme la littérature du Cordel, des almanachs, ont favorisé la découverte de la lecture comme une pratique agréable et utile. L'attachement aux livres et le goût de la lecture ont conduit à la constitution d'une bibliothèque qui a été faite avec des livres achetés dans des librairies, marché aux puces, librairies locaux et des librairies du tout le pays, avec des amis, par catalogues, en montrant différentes façons d'acquérir des livres au Brésil. Felte Bezerra et Josefina Leite sont les noms qui se distinguent pour leur contribution pour la formation intellectuelle de Beatriz. Malgré l'absence de relation, enseignant/élève, Felte Bezerra a laissé un héritage érudit marqué surtout par la relation avec l'anthropologie et le travail écrit. Josefina Leite est connue comme la responsable de l'entrée dans la recherche, par exemple du respect des différences et de l'ouverture au dialogue. La production académique de Beatriz Góis Dantas est composée de livres écrits en partenariat et individuellement, des chapitres de livres, des articles publiés dans des journaux et des magazines, au sein d'un répertoire thématique interdisciplinaire, en ayant pour domaine d'étude sa terre natale, Sergipe. Le livre Vovó Nagô et Papai Branco: Usos e Abusos da África no Brasil, publié en 1988, originé de sa thèse de Master, a été le responsable pour la fortune critique la plus accentuée parmi les titres des travaux de l'anthropologue. Outre cette diversité thématique, le potentiel mémorialiste de l'intellectuel se manifeste dans la production d'écrits ordinaires, sans vouloir être scientifique, en fixant la mémoire familiale, en caractérisant une écriture autobiographique.Este trabalho apresenta uma compreensão de práticas de leitura e escrita desenvolvidas por Beatriz Góis Dantas, evidenciando a sua inserção em diferentes espaços de atuação, tomando como marco temporal o período compreendido entre 1941 e 2013. O marco inicial corresponde ao seu ano de nascimento, em função da importância de uma contextualização que delimite os contornos da origem familiar na busca por vestígios de leitura e escrita. O marco final foi definido tendo como parâmetro a inserção de Beatriz na Academia Lagartense de Letras (ALL), considerando que a sua produção escrita foi, em certa medida, embora não exclusivamente, impulsionadora da indicação para fazer parte daquele sodalício. Trata-se de uma pesquisa histórica que utiliza os procedimentos metodológicos da pesquisa documental e da História Oral, especialmente a história de vida e a história temática, empregando como instrumento a entrevista semiestruturada. O aporte teórico que fornece subsídios a esse estudo tem como fundamento principal o tripé intelectual do historiador Roger Chartier (1990, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2011, 2014) práticas, apropriação e representações, dialogando com as concepções de Maurice Halbwachs (1990) a respeito da memória e de Jean-François Sirinelli (2010) acerca de intelectuais. Além das narrativas colhidas por meio das entrevistas realizadas com a intelectual, bem como com pessoas do seu convívio ou, em alguma medida, relacionadas à pesquisa, foram utilizadas fontes documentais como atas de reuniões, dossiês institucionais, diários de classe, publicações em jornais e revistas, fotografias, impressos produzidos pela intelectual, fotografias, localizadas nos arquivos do Instituto Histórico e Geográfico de Sergipe; no Arquivo Central e Arquivos Setoriais da Universidade Federal de Sergipe; nos acervos da Biblioteca Central e da Biblioteca do Campus de Laranjeiras da Universidade Federal de Sergipe, na Biblioteca Epifânio Dória, além do acervo da biblioteca particular da intelectual estudada. Beatriz Góis Dantas viveu, desde a infância, em um ambiente favorável ao desenvolvimento da leitura e ao aprendizado. Os hábitos de leitura demonstrados pelo seu genitor, proporcionando uma circulação de material impresso, livros de cordel e almanaques, favoreceram a descoberta da leitura como uma prática prazerosa e útil. O apego por livros e o gosto pela leitura levaram à constituição de uma biblioteca que foi sendo montada com livros e impressos em geral, obtidos pelas compras em sebos, em livrarias e livreiros locais e de outras regiões do país, através de amigos, por meio de catálogos, demonstrando maneiras diferenciadas de aquisição de livros no Brasil. Felte Bezerra e Josefina Leite foram os nomes que mais se destacaram como tendo importante contribuição na formação intelectual de Beatriz. Em que pese a ausência da relação professor/aluno, Felte Bezerra deixou um legado erudito que marcou, sobretudo, pela relação com a Antropologia e pela obra escrita. Josefina Leite é lembrada como a responsável pelo ingresso na pesquisa, pelo exemplo de respeito às diferenças e pela abertura ao diálogo. A produção acadêmica de Beatriz Góis Dantas é composta por livros escritos em parceria e individualmente, capítulos de livros, artigos publicados em jornais e revistas, folhetos, dentro de um repertório temático interdisciplinar, tendo como campo de estudo a sua terra natal, Sergipe. O livro Vovó nagô e papai branco: usos e abusos da África no Brasil, publicado em 1988, fruto da sua dissertação de mestrado, foi responsável pela fortuna crítica mais acentuada entre os títulos da obra da antropóloga. This work presents an understanding of reading and writing practices developed by Beatriz Góis Dantas, evidencing their insertion in different areas of performance, taking as a time frame the period between 1941 and 2013. The initial frame corresponds to her year of birth, in due to the importance of a contextualization that delimits the contours of the family origin in the search for traces of reading and writing. The final milestone was defined as Beatriz's insertion in the Lagartense Academy of Letters (ALL), considering that her written production was, to a certain extent, although not exclusively, driving the indication to be part of that sodalice. This is a historical research that uses the methodological procedures of documentary research and Oral History, especially life history and thematic history, using semi-structured interviews as instruments. The theoretical contribution that provides subsidies to this study is based mainly on the intellectual tripod of the historian Roger Chartier (1990, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2011, 2014) practices, appropriation and representations, dialoguing with the conceptions of Maurice Halbwachs (1990) about memory and Jean-François Sirinelli (2010) about intellectuals. In addition to the narratives collected through interviews with the intellectual, as well as with people around her or, to some extent, related to research, documentary sources were used, such as minutes of meetings, institutional dossiers, class diaries, publications in newspapers and magazines, photographs, prints produced by the intellectual, photographs, located in the archives of the Historical and Geographic Institute of Sergipe; in the Central and Sectorial Archives of the Federal University of Sergipe; in the collections of the Central Library and the Library of the Laranjeiras Campus of the Federal University of Sergipe, in the Epifânio Dória Library, in addition to the collection of the private library of the studied intellectual. Beatriz Góis Dantas lived, since childhood, in an environment favorable to the development of reading and learning. The reading habits demonstrated by its parent, providing a circulation of printed material, string books and almanacs, favored the discovery of reading as a pleasant and useful practice. The attachment to books and the taste for reading led to the constitution of a library that was being assembled with books and printed matter in general, obtained by shopping in bookstores, in local bookstores and booksellers and other regions of the country, through friends, through catalogs, showing different ways of acquiring books in Brazil. Felte Bezerra and Josefina Leite were the names that most stood out as having an important contribution to Beatriz's intellectual training. Despite the absence of a teacher / student relationship, Felte Bezerra left an erudite legacy that was marked, above all, by the relationship with Anthropology and written work. Josefina Leite is remembered as responsible for entering the research, for the example of respect for differences and openness to dialogue. Beatriz Góis Dantas' academic production is composed of books written in partnership and individually, book chapters, articles published in newspapers and magazines, within an interdisciplinary thematic repertoire, having as her field of study, her homeland, Sergipe. The book Nago grandma and white papa: uses and abuses of Africa in Brazil, published in 1988, as a result of her master's dissertation, was responsible for the most accentuated critical fortune among the titles of the anthropologist's work. In addition to this thematic diversity, the memorialist potential of the intellectual was evidenced in the production of ordinary writings, without pretending to be scientific, fixing the family memory, characterizing an autobiographical writing. |
