Resumo: | Based on common-place statements (or clichés) regarding writing and reading possibilities on the web, or about general aspects of reading, this article discusses topics such as Brazilian habits and practices of reading, the peculiarities of Internet writing and its relations with texts in other domains, presumed negative (or positive) interferences of digital practices on real domains, all oriented towards the demystification of the web and towards a criticism of over-enthusiastic points of views. Based on the arguments, the theoretical background and the discussion presented, we view reading and writing spaces on the web as just another good tool that can be used for expanding literacy in or out of school. |

Based on the arguments, the theoretical background and the discussion presented, we view reading and writing spaces on the web as just another good tool that can be used for expanding literacy in or out of school.Con base en afirmaciones consideradas lugares-comunes (o clichés) en relación a las posibilidades de la escrita y de la lectura en la Web y aún de la lectura en general, este ensayo discute temas como los hábitos y las prácticas de lectura de los brasileños, las peculiaridades de la producción escrita en la Web y sus relaciones con el texto en otros dominios, supuestas interferencias negativas (o positivas) de las prácticas “digitales” e dominios “reales”, siempre en dirección a la desmitificación de la red y a la ponderación sobre posiciones exageradamente entusiasmadas. Conforme los argumentos presentados, la fundamentación teórica construida y las ponderaciones explicitadas, se asume una posición que considera los espacios de lectura y escrita de la Web como más una buena herramienta para la ampliación de los letramientos en la escuela o fuera de Ella.Ayant comme base les affirmations considerées lieux-communs (ou clichés) par rapport aux possibilités de l’écriture et de la lecture sur web et aussi de la lecture en général, cet essai discute des sujets comme les habitudes et les pratiques de lecture des brésiliens, les singularités de la production écrite sur web et ses relations avec le texte dans d’autres domaines, des interventions supposées négatives (ou positives) des pratiques “digitales” dans des domaines “réels”, toujours dans la direction de la démystification du réseau et du discernement sur des positions trop enthousiasmées. Selon les arguments présentés, le fondement théorique construit et les discernements énoncés, on assume une position qui considère les espaces de lecture et écriture du web encore comme un bon outil pour l’ampliation de l’alphabétisation à l’école ou dehors.Com base em afirmações consideradas lugares-comuns (ou clichês) em relação às possibilidades da escrita e da leitura na web e mesmo da leitura em geral, este ensaio discute temas como os hábitos e as práticas de leitura dos brasileiros, as peculiaridades da produção escrita na web e suas relações com o texto em outros domínios, supostas interferências negativas (ou positivas) das práticas “digitais” em domínios “reais”, sempre em direção à desmistificação da rede e à ponderação sobre posições exageradamente entusiasmadas.
