The theme of financial education has been gaining increasing importance and gaining space among several social and advantages, the need for this approach being essential for the development of the country and its inhabitants. Financial education provides knowledge and information about basic behavior related to the best use of resources that contribute to a healthy and balanced financial life. Given the above, the objective of this work proposed is to study the analysis of knowledge and the importance of Financial Education in the opinion of students from Nossa Senhora do Socorro, in Sergipe. To this end, the relationship between the presence or absence of habits and financial knowledge in relation to the existence of educational programs is explored. Using a mixed method, it is based on bibliographic and documentary research, through data collection in books, scientific articles, surveys, reports, and official financial institutions. The analysis items related to the study were knowledge and basic skills in finance, perception of indebtedness and default, and the use of financial education in schools. For data collection, it was requested directed to high school students who revealed the student interest in the subject, but associated with low knowledge and lack of uniform and lasting initiatives in the school environment. In addition, greater interest in disseminating information to the family environment was identified, where the financial problem usually occurs.
