Educação: espaços para o exercício profissional da/o assistente social

Resumo: This article highlights elements that demonstrate the relevance of the professional role of the social worker in educational institutions. From the 2000s onwards, the professional debate on education took a greater proportion between the deliberative instances of Social Work, as well as the formalization of student assistance, in 2007, and Decree no. 7234/2010, which instituted the National Student Assistance Program (PNAES). These factors drove the workers to understand the relevance of these socio-occupational spaces. In this sense, through documentary research, several possibilities for professional practice in education are indicated, but with the main focus on Federal Institutions of Higher Education (IFES). It was possible to identify that although the institutions are different, they have similar impasses, such as the centralization of female workers in student assistance and the difficulties in working conditions.

A partir dos anos 2000 o debate profissional sobre a educação tomou maior proporção entre as instancias deliberativas do Serviço Social, como também a formalização da assistência estudantil, em 2007, e o Decreto nº 7234/2010, que instituiu o Programa Nacional de Assistência Estudantil (PNAES). Esses fatores impulsionaram as/os trabalhadoras/es a compreenderem a relevância destes espaços sócio-ocupacionais. Nesse sentido, através de pesquisa documental são sinalizadas várias possibilidades de exercício profissional na educação, mas com o enfoque principal nas Instituições Federais de Ensino Superior (IFES).
