Engenharia de sustentabilidade em hospitais: uma proposta baseada no balanced scorecard

Resumo: This paper within the philosophy of the Balanced Scorecard framework, aimed at the application of industrial engineering tools to the health sector, more specifically in hospitals. The main objective is the sustainable optimization of hospital processes. This text refers to the subfield of sustainability engineering and its application to hospital management optimization. Making use and addressing eco-efficiency tools, cleaner production and environmental marketing philosophy linked to the balanced scorecard it is treated through theoretical aspects, the definitions related to the scope. Later a case study at the university hospital of the Federal University of Sergipe offers practical bases for the application of the proposed methodology. The project aims to foster the knowledge of production engineering and then work with their tools to the environment from various areas of health, integrating and highlighting the complex processes linked to this area. This paper is considered as successful in the sense of identifying potential improvements from the perpective of sustainability, and with the proposal of a management model as well as implementation of indicators to quantify and analyze the system for further system optimization.

O objetivo principal é a otimização sustentável dos processos hospitalares. Este texto refere-se à subárea da engenharia de sustentabilidade e suas aplicações para a otimização do hospital. Fazendo uso e abordando as ferramentas da ecoeficiência, produção mais limpa e marketing ambiental ligado a filosofia do balanced scorecard é-se tratado com aspectos teóricos, as definições ligadas ao escopo. Posteriormente um estudo de caso realizado no hospital universitário da Universidade Federal de Sergipe oferece bases práticas para a aplicação da metodologia proposta. O projeto tem como principal objetivo fomentar os conhecimentos da engenharia de produção e então colaborar com suas ferramentas ao ambiente das diversas áreas da saúde, integrando e salientando aos processos complexos ligados a essa área.
