Objectives: To analyze the prevalence of pain or discomfort in the last 12 months and in the last 7 days; analyze the prevalence of quality of life; and relate their performance in the last 12 months and the last 7 days with the performance module of the quality questionnaire work in the sectors of the seam cutting area. Methods: The Nordic Osteomuscular Symptoms Questionnaire and the Quality of Life Model were applied to 30 workers in a factory. The findings were oriented using Fisher's exact software with SAS 9.2 software, considering significance of P <0.05. Results: There was a high prevalence of pain, quality of life and association among them, the majority of those who answered were satisfied or very satisfied with the working conditions, did not report pain. Conclusion: Interdisciplinary, multiprofessional and intersectorial action is required to positively interfere with the work process and the health of the worker. It is suggested that further studies be conducted using work-oriented quality of life assessments involving a larger contingent of individuals.
