Resumo: | The urbanization process can lead to an accelerated deterioration of water bodies, which reduces the population’s standard of living. In order to better manage public resources and reduce the deficiency in sanitation services, a good strategy is the Municipal Basic Sanitation Plan (PMSB), which, in the case of Aracaju, was implemented in December 17, 2017 by the Law No. 4,973. So, this work pursued to evaluate if the project flow rate of the Jabotiana WWTP meets the values fixed in the Aracaju plan. To achieve this, the Executive Project of Jabotiana WWTP and the Municipal Basic Sanitation Plan of Aracaju were analyzed to compare the data. It was found that the flow rate capacity expected for the plant is lower than the capacity predicted in the PMSB. However, when the flow rate capacity of the Jabotiana WWTP is added to the capacity of the other sewage treatment plants in Aracaju, the value obtained is higher than the sewage flow rate collection demanded by Aracaju population. Therefore, the construction of the Jabotiana WWTP will be enough to comply with the Municipal Plan, as long as the other treatment plants meet the flow rate progression schedule, and its design parameters obey the legislation, but the creation of new environmental education actions is necessary, as well as the strengthening of the existing ones, so the planned environmental education program is fully met. |

Com o intuito de realizar a melhor gestão dos recursos públicos e reduzir o déficit nos serviços de saneamento, uma boa estratégia são os Planos Municipais de Saneamento Básico (PMSB) que, no caso de Aracaju, foi implementado pela Lei nº 4.973 de 11 de dezembro de 2017. Posto isso, o presente trabalho buscou avaliar se a vazão de projeto da ETE Jabotiana atenderá aos valores previstos no PMSB de Aracaju. Para atingir a este objetivo, fez-se a análise do projeto executivo da ETE Jabotiana e do Plano Municipal de Saneamento Básico de Aracaju para comparação dos dados. Verificou-se que a capacidade de vazão prevista para a estação é inferior à capacidade prevista no PMSB. Contudo, quando a capacidade de vazão da ETE Jabotiana é somada à capacidade das outras estações de tratamento de esgoto de Aracaju, o valor obtido é superior à vazão de coleta para atender à demanda da população.
