It is noticeable that technologies linked to information strongly influence the performance of any type of activity. In the logistics area, specifically in distribution centers, these technologies, when used properly, provide agility, flexibility, speed and reliability in operations. This research sought to present evidence of the facilities, difficulties, advantages and deficiencies related to the use of information technology in a distribution center in Sergipe. Thus, the present study aimed to analyze how the main logistical procedures for storage are configured in a Distribution Center located in Nossa Senhora do Socorro/SE. The method was a single case study with multiple sources of evidence, of a qualitative nature, which sought to verify the results in the research distribution company, defining how satisfactory is the performance of logistics activities with the use of Information Technology tools in the perception of the interviewees, who were IT Analyst, CD operational coordinator, in charge of receiving. The main results found demonstrate that, among the many benefits that T.I can attribute to logistics activities are: operational integration, cost reduction, improvement in operational efficiency and better control and reliability of logistics operations. The main barriers pointed out by the interviewees were difficulties regarding "training the entire team in a timely manner and the physical and operational adaptations"., and this was due to the complexity that the W.M.S system initially presented, requiring training for the entire team. invoIt is noticeable that technologies linked to information strongly influence the performance of any type of activity.
