Resumo: The painting activity consists in an important step in the aircrafts maintenance. The right processes performed by a well-ordered technical and trained team even avoid air disasters, considering the risk of damage to the aircraft structures. The maintenance activities are a constant element in the management of commercial aircrafts. They are governed by legal frameworks and by the immanent necessity of their own aircraft technology. The incorrect application of the technical guidelines for the painting activity compromises the entire flight system, which may cause or hide flaws in the fairing or in fundamental pieces of a mismanaged aircraft. The study consulted professionals from the maintenance sector on training regarding the exercise of its aircraft painting activity, identifying the best solutions to reduce the number of occurrences of premature cracks in commercial aircrafts. The results show that the technical formation is a decisive element in this process.

Os processos adequados executados por uma equipe técnica bem ordenada e com formação adequada evitam até mesmo desastres aéreos, considerando os riscos de danos às estruturas das aeronaves. As atividades de manutenção são um elemento constante na gestão de aeronaves comerciais. São regidas por marcos legais e ainda pela necessidade imanente da própria tecnologia aeronáutica. A aplicação incorreta das orientações técnicas para a atividade de pintura compromete todo o sistema de voo, podendo ocasionar ou ocultar falhas na carenagem ou em peças fundamentais da aeronave mal gerida. O estudo consultou profissionais do setor de manutenção sobre a formação relativa ao exercício de sua atividade de pintura de aeronaves, identificando as melhores saídas para arrefecer o número de ocorrências de trincas prematuras em aeronaves comerciais.
