LAPIDANDO MANUSCRITOS DIAMANTINOS: UMA ESCRIPTURA SOB A LENTE DA FILOLOGIA: SHAPING MANUSCRIPTS: A PURCHASE AND SALE DEED UNDER THE LENS OF PHILOLOGY

RESUMO: Como uma ciência dos produtos do espírito humano, a filologia, contribui para o resgate do patrimônio documental de um povo que por vezes se perde porque os testemunhos são incinerados, jogados ao lixo e depositados em lugares inapropriados pelo próprio homem, por julgarem não serem importantes, assim são também entregues às intempéries do tempo, às traças, cupins e insetos em geral. Com efeito, é graças ao labor filológico que se empreende a tarefa de preservar os testemunhos, a fim de não os perder para o tempo, levando consigo a memória, a história, a cultura etc. de uma sociedade. Em Mulungu dos Pires, em Iraquara, na Bahia, encontra-se um Memorial cuja tarefa é preservar o patrimônio escrito da região. Foi no acervo deste que se encontrou a Escriptura particular de compra e venda a qual aqui recebeu um tratamento filológico, mais especificamente, uma edição semidiplomática. Tal escolha deveu-se por este tipo de edição oferecer uma aproximação o mais fiel possível do testemunho, permitindo apenas intervenções sutis por parte do editor. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Filologia. Escriptura particular de compra e venda.   ABSTRACT: As a science of the products of the human spirit, philology, contributes to the rescue of the documentary heritage of a people that is sometimes lost because the testimonies are incinerated, thrown in the trash and deposited in an inappropriate places by the man himself, because they believe they are not important, so they are also delivered to the weather, moths, termites and insects in general. Indeed, it is thanks to the philological work that the task of safeguarding the testimonies is undertaken, so as not to lose them over time, taking with them memory, history, culture, etc. of a society. In Mulungu dos Pires in Iraquara, Bahia, there is a Memorial with the aim to preserve the written heritage of the region. It was in this collection that researchers found the private deed of purchase and sale, which here received a philological treatment, more specifically, a semi-diplomatic edition. This choice was because this type of edition offers the most faithful approximation of the testimony, allowing only subtle interventions by the editor. KEYWORDS: Philology. Semi-diplomatic edition.
