Insurgent territories: the composition of the struggles and resistance of quilombola women

Resumo: This article presents the debates on the participation of quilombola women in the organization and fightfor territory, performed in daily resistance against systems of oppression and exploitation; and how a sociocultural, religiousand political dynamic of knowledge is built in order to give life to the quilombola lifestyle. The reflections featured in thisstudy are the result of a post-doctoral research carried out in quilombola communities in the state of Maranhão, in 2019,articulated with knowledge obtained from the previous personal insertion in quilombos, enabled by a research program inthe state of Rio de Janeiro, since 2011. The action research methodology allowed to simultaneously dialogue directly withquilombola communities as well as to respond to demands that emerged in the territory, in the face of conflicts over land andaccess to their rights. In the interaction with quilombola women, it was possible to listen, learn and understand the importanceof their daily practices in movements of resistance and fights in and for the territory

As reflexões apresentadas aqui são resultado de pesquisa de pós-doutoramento realizada junto a comunidades quilombolas no estado do Maranhão, no ano de 2019, articuladas a conhecimentos oriundos da inserção em quilombos, por meio de pesquisa e extensão, no estado do Rio de Janeiro, desde 2011. A metodologia pesquisa-ação permitiu simultaneamente dialogar direto com as comunidades quilombolas e responder a demandas que emergiram no território frente aos conflitos pela terra e pelo acesso a direitos.
