Resumo: This paper aims to present a general view of indians health problems, specifically the Guarani-Mbyá. These problems result from the way they live and mainly from the exploitation they have been suffering. Some considerations about the increase in demand for health care in hospitals are presented, in which the medical team, specially Social Workers, have the challenge of creating new strategies of action towards enlarging the respect of cultural diversity.

Problemas estes que são decorrentes da atual situação em que vivem e principalmente da histórica espoliação causada a esta população.
