Resumo: The governance of contemporary environmental problems implies that we take into consideration the conjuncture as well as the long-term symbolic processes. In the last decades, the interdisciplinary approach became an indispensable tool to understand the complexity of the environmental problems. However, some of the interdisciplinary streams which would allow us to understand the relationship between the environmental issues and the civilization processes much better are still not very well explored. In order to explore that demand in the context of the contemporary modernity, this essay intends to develop relevant aspects of the interfaces of the philosophical and theological thoughts with the environmental problems.

En las últimas décadas, el abordaje interdisciplinar se transformó en una herramienta imprescindible para entender la complejidad de los problemas ambientales. Sin embargo, aún permanecen poco investigadas algunas vertientes interdisciplinares que permitirían comprender mejor la relación de las cuestiones ambientales con los procesos civilizatorios. Con el objetivo de investigar esa demanda en el contexto de la modernidad contemporánea, se pretende desarrollar aspectos relevantes de las interfases del pensamiento filosófico y teológico con los problemas ambientales. A governança dos problemas ambientais contemporâneos implica levar em conta não apenas a dimensão conjuntural, mas também os processos simbólicos de longa duração. Nas últimas décadas, a abordagem interdisciplinar se tornou uma ferramenta imprescindível para entender a complexidade dos problemas ambientais. No entanto, ainda permanecem pouco exploradas algumas vertentes interdisciplinares que permitiriam compreender melhor a relação das questões ambientais com os processos civilizatórios.
