Resumo: The paper is based on a collaborative ethnography conducted with the Peasant Women Movement (MMC/SC) in Santa Catarina state, from 2011, and aims to delineate the political and pedagogical characteristics of the agroecological perspective embodied by the movement, in synergy with other Via Campesina organizations. The data were collected through narrative interviews, participant observation, focus group, documentation analysis and restitution activities. First, the struggle for agroecology is contextualized within the trajectory of the MMC/SC. Then the text focuses on the agroecological practices of the movement, with special reference to the activities of rescue, production and multiplication of creole seeds and the use of medicinal plants. The results pointed to the feminist and decolonial character of the agroecological practices within the popular peasant agriculture project of the MMC.

Las reflexiones presentadas surgen de la elaboración crítica de datos recolectados a través de varios instrumentos: entrevistas narrativas, participación-observante, grupos focales, análisis de documentación, acciones de devolución. En primer lugar la lucha por la agroecología será contextualizada dentro de la trayectoria del MMC/SC. El texto, entonces, aprofundizará las prácticas agroecológicas del movimiento, con especial referencia a las prácticas de rescate, producción y multiplicación de semillas criollas y al uso de plantas medicinales. Los resultados mostrarán el cuño feminista y decolonial de las prácticas agroecológicas en el interior del proyecto popular de agricultura campesina del MMC.O artigo se origina de uma etnografia colaborativa iniciada em 2011 junto ao Movimento de Mulheres Camponesas em Santa Catarina (MMC/SC), e visa delinear a caracterização político-pedagógica da perspectiva agroecológica encarnada pelo movimento, conjuntamente com as demais organizações da Via Campesina. As reflexões apresentadas surgem da elaboração crítica de dados coletados através de vários instrumentos: entrevistas narrativas, participação-observante, grupos focais, análise de documentação, ações de devolução. Primeiramente a luta por agroecologia será contextualizada no interior da trajetória do MMC/SC. O texto, então, entrará no mérito das práticas agroecológicas do movimento, com especial referência para as atividades de resgate, produção e multiplicação das sementes crioulas e o uso das plantas medicinais.
