Resumo: | In the present work the anatomy and ecology of Calophyllum brasiliense Camb. leaves were studied. The leaves samples were obtained at the three different levels in the crown, from trees growing under natural conditions in Rio Vermelho Forest Park, Santa Catarina Island. The samples were used to prepare slides for microscopy study and the remaining was used to determine the total leaf area. The median size of leaves coming from the three different levels of the lower, as well as the middle and upper crown strata differ significantly, but there are not significant difference in stomata number between leaves of the three strata are not significant. The leaves are glabrous, showing a thick cuticle and a hypodermis. The stomata are the paracytic type (rubiaceous). The mesophyll is dorsiventral and shows a spongy parenchyma with large intercellular spaces. |

O mesofilo é dorsiventral e apresenta espaços intercelulares acentuados no parênquima esponjoso.Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina1997-01-01info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/biotemas/article/view/22126Biotemas; v. 10 n. 2 (1997); 77-962175-79250103-1643reponame:Biotemas (Online)instname:Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC)instacron:UFSCporhttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/biotemas/article/view/22126/20064Copyright (c) 1997 João de Deus Medeiros, Márcia Rosana Stefanihttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessMedeiros, João de DeusStefani, Márcia Rosana2022-11-18T13:08:03Zoai:periodicos.ufsc.br:article/22126Revistahttp://www.biotemas.ufsc.br/index.htmPUBhttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/biotemas/oai||carlospinto@ccb.ufsc.br2175-79250103-1643opendoar:2022-11-18T13:08:03Biotemas (Online) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC)false |
