Resumo: To determine turnip mosaic virus (TuMV) in canola grown in Paraná State, Brazil, a survey was carried out in the production area in 1993 and 1994. Canola plants and weeds were collected and submitted to diagnostic test in indicator plants. Serological tests were also used. The hybrids and varieties virus susceptibility was evaluated. Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) and turnip mosaic virus (TuMV) were found. All canola hybrids and varieties tested were susceptible to the found viruses.

All canola hybrids and varieties tested were susceptible to the found viruses.Objetivando determinar a presença do vírus do mosaico do nabo em canola cultivada no Estado do Paraná, foi efetuado um levantamento em plantios comerciais, em 1993 e 1994. Coletou-se plantas de canola e invasoras silvestres para realização de testes diagnósticos em plantas indicadoras. Testes sorológicos também foram empregados. Avaliou-se a suscetibilidade de híbridos e variedades de canola às viroses determinadas. Constatou-se a presença dos vírus do mosaico do pepino ("cucumber mosaic virus" - CMV), e do mosaico do nabo ("turnip mosaic virus" - TuMV).
