This paper aims to fill the gap in the discussion of sustainable consumption through the lens of practices by proposing a framework on areas of consumption practices for sustainability. The theoretical discussion is based on a review and discussion of concepts of social practice studies (Practice Theories or Practice Lenses) and their current extension towards the area of sustainable consumption. With this broad review of the emerging international use of practice lenses in the sociology of consumption, the paper closes a gap in national production on sustainable consumption and studies the transition to sustainability. In addition, the authors also propose to explain the relationship between possible domains with bundles of practices. As a result, the paper presents a review for future research in the various domains of consumption in society.
