Brazilian Administration Review: an profile analysis of academic science in the period 2004 to 2012 from the perspective of social network and bibliometrics

Resumo: This article explored the academic scientific production of Brazilian Administration Review, from 2004 to 2012. The study was based on a study of bibliometric and social network, using descriptive statistics, in 159 identified articles. The main results of this study were predominantly work in partnership; Machado-da-Silva, C. L. was the most prolific author; Fundacão Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo was the Higher Education Institution (HEI) had published more; coauthorship network centrality and between HEIs; DiMaggio, P., was the most cited researcher, the viewed more words in the titles and the keywords were: management, and organizational performance. We conclude macro so that the achievements of the Brazilian Administration Review, reflects the world of academic research in the area of administration, thereby helping to develop, disseminate and socialize through the area of scientific articles published in national scholarly literature.

O artigo baseou-se num estudo de rede social e bibliométrico, utilizando-se da estatística descritiva, em 159 artigos identificados. Os principais resultados deste estudo foram: predominância de trabalhos em parceria; Machado-da-Silva foi o autor que mais publicou; a Fundação Getúlio Vargas de São Paulo foi a Instituição de Ensino Superior (IES) que mais publicou; centralidade da rede de coautoria e da rede das IESs; DiMaggio foi o pesquisador mais citado; as palavras mais visualizadas nos títulos e nas palavras-chave foram: management, performance e organizational.
