Strategic biographies: what do the names of party foundations want to say?

In this article, we propose to reflect on the strategies and logics that rule over the collective effort in the biographical heroicizing/sacralization of posthumously honored political leaders through the naming of Party Foundations (PFs) with their names. Through the analysis of the laudatory material produced on the characters from the entities, we observed how strategic biographies both model and are modeled in the appropriation/construction of collective organizations made by agents, interests and various purposes, which are tributary to the affirmation of their ‘’icons’’. We approached the forms of registering/activating the ‘’memory’’ of honored deceased and we observed the weight of the association to social properties, legitimate causes, remarkable events, ‘’political traditions’’ and party organizations as investment in the funding of goods and representations that are competitively engendered.
