Resumo: | As handling a transparent incandescent light bulb (turned off), a student observes bright images inside of it. Why do they appear? A more careful analysis leads to a curious answer: the inferior part of the light bulb works as a concave mirror and the superior part as a convex mirror. In this article, besides demonstrating experimentally the answer above, the teacher takes advantage of this simple device to become the study of the geometric optics (concave and convex mirrors) more attractive and provocative. |

De onde elas surgem? Uma análise mais cuidadosa leva a uma resposta curiosa: a parte inferior da lâmpada funciona como um espelho côncavo e a parte superior, como um espelho convexo.
