Many questions about this theme are presented and discussed in a large sort of massive communication media. Despite this situation, we have to say that many of these issues are open subjects for the international scientific community, without a common sense about the causes and consequences of climate changes. In this context, Physics offers theoretical concepts and a way of modeling nature to produce some knowledge about this subject mainly because it is a basic science. From this point of view, the issue of climate changes can be considered a specially useful subject to illustrate these physical concepts by Physics teachers, to motivate students or to elaborate new educational proposals. In order to provide some tools to teach this subject in High School Physics classes, this paper offers two perspectives: to point out some physical considerations about this theme and to discuss a few uncertainties and controversies related to climate changes. In a specific way we will present some considerations about the energy balance in the Sun-Earth system, the greenhouse effect and the concept of the mean temperature of the Earth. |

Muitas questões relacionadas ao tema Mudanças Climáticas estão diariamente presentes em nossas vidas, sobretudo através dos meios de comunicação. Porém, diferente daquilo mostrado pela grande mídia, é importante salientar que muitas questões associadas a esse temaainda estão em aberto, distanciando-nos muito de um consenso mínimo na comunidade científica sobre as origens, causas e efeitos das Mudanças Climáticas. A partir desse contexto, a Física, por sua própria condição de ciência básica, oferece conceitos e modelos para a adequada compreensão desse tema. Nesse sentido, considera-se que esse assunto pode ser especialmente útil aos professores de Física, justamente pela possibilidade de ser utilizado para ilustrar uma série de conceitos físicos básicos e/ou para motivar a construção de propostas educativas. No intuito de oferecer subsídios para o tratamento desse tema em aulas de Física no nível básico de ensino, este trabalho está orientado a partir de duas perspectivas: realizar breves considerações da Física básica envolvida nesse assunto e discutir algumas das incertezas e controvérsias científicasdiretamente ligadas ao tema Mudanças Climáticas.
