Resumo: The possible consequences of using new batteries, connected in parallel with used ones are analyzed theoretically using electrical and circuit analysis concepts, as they are commonly teaching in classes of Physics in high schools, as to allow the teacher to illustrate and complement his activities of electricity. The results shows that if the real voltages supplied by the batteries or its internal resistances are very different among itself there will be a significant stress (wear down) of the new battery, indicating that it must be avoided the use of new and old batteries together connected in parallel.
