Resumo: In this article, it was used a simple Geometry and some basic concepts in Physics to  estimate, in a total eclipse, the maximum time interval in which the Moon remains in the interior of the   shadow cone projected by the Earth. The initial hypothesis was that the Moon describes a circular and uniform motion around the Earth and this one describes a uniform circular motion around the Sun, resulting in a maximum time that the Moon remains in the umbra: ?t = 1h 45min 54s.
