Resumo: It is a common procedure in calculus classes, to include illustrative examples from other fields of knowledge. The assumption is that the classes will become more interesting and that the significance of mathematics contents will be enhanced. In this text we worked out four different solutions for a physics problem originally proposed in the 2000 Brazilian National Examination for physics graduate students.
