Modeling of processes in company of the public health sector: i-CISMEP, a case report

Resumo: The purpose of this article is to report an initiative in the area of organizational process management in a public health institution. It portrays the strategic importance of process management, pointing out how the activity flows and the information received / generated will bring financial benefits, optimization of processes and competitiveness. For that, the theoretical framework of some areas of knowledge involved is presented: processes, process management and modeling, notation language. And yet: the context of project development; the methodology guided by the Design Science methodology; stages of project development and their respective deliverables, finally presents lessons learned and final considerations. It is hoped that this article contributes to the Information Science by investigating in depth the adoption of process management in the context of public capital organizations and the public health sector in MG. It is also considered that knowing the real practice of a project can help other similar projects.

Retrata a importância estratégica da gestão dos processos, pontuando como os fluxos de atividades e das informações recebidas/geradas trarão benefícios financeiros, otimização dos processos e competitividade. Para tal, apresenta-se o arcabouço teórico de algumas áreas do conhecimento envolvidas: processos, gestão e modelagem de processos, linguagem de notação. E ainda: o contexto do desenvolvimento do projeto; a metodologia guiada pela metodologia Design Science; etapas de desenvolvimento do projeto e seus respectivos entregáveis, por fim, apresenta lições aprendidas e as considerações finais. Espera-se que este artigo contribua para a Ciência da Informação investigando em profundidade a adoção de gestão de processos no contexto de organizações de capital público e do setor de saúde pública em MG.
