Resumo: | The article aims to discuss aspects of the Brazilian Law 10639 of January 2003 and the National Curriculum Guidelines for the Education of Racial-Ethnic Relations and the Teaching of African and Afro-Brazilian Cultures. It emphasizes the importance of the Archivist training, the historical conditions of black people’s access to education, raises some issues around the National Curriculum Guidelines document and the teaching of African and Afro-Brazilian History and Culture. Finally, this text is the result of the work we develop in the Racism Project: Fight back and defend yourself, an extension project of the Interdisciplinary Center for African and Afro-Brazilian Studies in the Education Sciences Center. |
