Audiovisual documents as products of technological images: historical-theoretical insertions in Archival Science

Resumo: | This study is justified due to the need for the audiovisual documentary genre to be recognized and treated as an archival document, since the topic is not widespread and discussed within Archivology regarding its inclusion in document management processes. For this, the general aspects of the historical and theoretical concepts of technological images are approached, in order to understand different assimilation and incorporation of audiovisual documents (products of technological images) in Archives and Archival Science; new challenges for such documents in the digital environment are also pointed out. The research is characterized by being of a qualitative nature, of the descriptive-exploratory type, since it seeks to discuss conceptual and historical aspects referring to technological images and their relationship with audiovisual documents in archival science. As a result, the importance of understanding of technology has been verified by the theoretical and historical concepts of technological images, as well as their products and their characteristics, towards the understanding of how to deal with audiovisual documents in an archival environment, whether analog or digital. Thus, it is important to recognize the archival character of audiovisual documents in an analog environment and of digital documents in video format, in this case, in a digital environment, since such understanding avoids mistakes in the processes of applied document management. |

Para eso, se abordan los aspectos generales de los conceptos históricos y teóricos de las imágenes tecnológicas, con el fin de comprender diferentes asimilaciones e incorporaciones de documentos audiovisuales (productos de imágenes tecnológicas) en Archivos y Archivística; También se señalan nuevos desafíos para este tipo de documentos en el entorno digital. La investigación se caracteriza por ser de carácter cualitativo, de tipo descriptivo-exploratorio, ya que busca discutir aspectos conceptuales e históricos referentes a las imágenes tecnológicas y su relación con los documentos audiovisuales en la archivística. Como resultado, se verificó la importancia de comprender los conceptos teóricos e históricos de las imágenes tecnológicas, así como sus productos y sus características, hacia la comprensión de cómo tratar los documentos audiovisuales en un entorno archivístico, ya sea analógico o digital. Así, es importante reconocer el carácter archivístico de los documentos audiovisuales en un entorno analógico y de los documentos digitales en formato de video, en este caso, en un entorno digital, ya que tal comprensión evita errores en los procesos de gestión documental aplicada. Este estudo justifica-se devido à necessidade de o gênero documental audiovisual ser reconhecido e tratado como documento de arquivo, uma vez que o tema é pouco difundido e discutido dentro da Arquivologia quanto à inclusão deste nos processos de gestão documental. Para isso, abordam-se os aspectos gerais dos conceitos históricos e teóricos das imagens tecnológicas, a fim de compreender diferentes assimilações e incorporações de documentos audiovisuais (produtos das imagens tecnológicas) nos Arquivos e na Arquivologia; também se apontam novos desafios para tais documentos no ambiente digital. A pesquisa é caracterizada por ser de natureza qualitativa, do tipo descritivo-exploratória, visto que busca debater aspectos conceituais e históricos referentes a imagens tecnológicas e à sua relação com documentos audiovisuais na arquivologia. Como resultado, verificou-se a importância da compreensão dos conceitos teóricos e históricos das imagens tecnológicas, bem como seus produtos e suas características, rumando ao entendimento sobre como lidar com documentos audiovisuais em ambiente de arquivo, seja analógico ou digital. Assim, considera-se a importância de se reconhecer o caráter de arquivo dos documentos audiovisuais em ambiente analógico e dos documentos digitais em formato de vídeo, neste caso, em ambiente digital, uma vez que tal compreensão evita equívocos nos processos de gestão documental aplicada.
