Resumo: This article intends to delimitate how Lucian of Samosata reaches, beyond other authors of classic and hellenistic greek world, new ways to think what is to be a foreigner, a barbarian, in sum, what is to be “an other” in this very same world. To do so, this article dives into the deep waters of some of the fundamental subjects of  this classical author: autochthony, barbarism, travels, fiction.
