In addition to the analysis of “mesmo” in PB – based on Ilari (1996) and Guimarães (2010) –, we will also present proposals for “even”, in English – following Horn (1969) and Kartttunen e Peters (1979) –, and for “même”, in French – following Anscombre (1973) and Ducrot (1972, 1981). These analyses may shed light on some issues concerning “mesmo” in PB. We will also examine phenomena related to pressuposition and conventional implicature, by Grice (1975). |

We will also examine phenomena related to pressuposition and conventional implicature, by Grice (1975).El objetivo de este trabajo es debatir sobre la significación de “mesmo” en el portugués brasileño (PB) y hablar sobre puntos todavía no explorados por la literatura en portugués o que no estuvieron en el centro de las discusiones. Se percibe que este ítem lexical puede contribuir de maneras diferentes para la significación de las oraciones en que aparece, lo que depende de factores que se presentarán a lo largo del texto. Además de análisis hechos para el PB – a partir de Ilari (1996) y Guimarães (2010) –, se presentarán propuestas para el inglés “even” – Horn (1969) y Kartttunen y Peters (1979) – y para el francés “même” – Anscombre (1973) y Ducrot (1972, 1981). Dichos análisis aportan interesantes reflexiones que pueden elucidar aspectos concernientes al “mesmo” en PB. Se discutirán fenómenos relacionados a la noción de presuposición y al modelo de implicaciones de Grice (1975) O objetivo deste trabalho é levantar questões sobre a significação de “mesmo” em português brasileiro (PB) que não foram exploradas pela literatura em português ou que não estiveram no centro das discussões. Pudemos perceber que esse item lexical é capaz de contribuir de maneiras diferentes para a significação das sentenças em que aparece a depender de fatores que serão apresentados no texto. Além de análises feitas para o PB – a partir de Ilari (1996) e Guimarães (2010) –, apresentaremos propostas para o inglês “even” – Horn (1969) e Karttunen e Peters (1979) – e para o francês “même” – Anscombre (1973) e Ducrot (1972, 1981). Essas análises trazem reflexões interessantes que podem elucidar aspectos concernentes ao “mesmo” em PB.
