Resumo: This work presents the results of a study that aimed to understand how dimensions of language act in the generation of the derivative family formed from the category foder [fuck], a polysemic and self-antonymic category. The study was guided by assumptions from both Cognitive Linguistics and Historical Linguistics, seeking to carry out interdisciplinary discussions based on the contributions of Sociohistorical Cognitive Semantics and Complexity Theory, in such a way that it dialogues with authors like Booij (2010, 2017), Capra (1996) and Silva (2008). Regarding its methodological design, the study was developed through a qualitative approach to the corpus, which is formed by Twitter posts; it has an exploratory, descriptive, interpretative, historical, and comparative nature, and sought to understand the occurrences of the derived constructions in its context of use, as it wanted to describe and understand its use and functioning. After completing the work, it was found that the new categories created with [[FODER]V Y] can also be polysemic and self-antonymic, and that the metonymic selection of the knowledge of the speaker-writer acts in this process of creating the lexicon. The results achieved collaborate to elucidate the guiding questions of the study.
