Resumo: The consequences of the pandemic are still being investigated in the most diverse fields. In the area of education, it is no different, with more than two thirds of the world's students affected, the pandemic emphasized inequalities in access and opportunity to studies. However, it is essential to discuss the condition of basic education teachers during quarantine, since the demand for work changes and increases, with the need for distance learning. Thus, with recent research data, together with the teaching report, we seek here to present and discuss in general the new challenges faced by teachers in basic education in quarantine times.

Na área da educação não é diferente, com mais de dois terços dos estudantes do mundo afetados, a pandemia vem trazendo à tona as desigualdades de acesso e oportunidade aos estudos. Entretanto, é fundamental discutir a condição dos professores de ensino básico durante a quarentena, uma vez que a demanda de trabalho muda e aumenta, com a necessidade do ensino à distância.
