Resumo: | This paper addresses the nature of the power (Macht) according to Max Weber. Therefore, we carried out a two-fold study: first, a literature review of Weber’s sociology of domination; second, a verification of how these categories are articulated in Weberian theory through the analysis of some of his representative work on the political development of Bismarckian Germany. Taking the classic ideal types of domination as heuristic elements of his Political Sociology, the objective is to show how this typology is used in his political conjuncture work. In order to undertake the proposed objectives, we will resort to a bibliographic review of texts by Weber and renowned commentators within the literature. The conclusions show that apparent contradictions in the author's explanatory model are due to the excessive rigor in weighing his positions to the last consequences, often incurring in irreconcilable paradoxes. |
